Net Charoenpong

Net received a doctoral degree in Chemical Oceanography in February 2019 under the supervision of Dr. Scott Wankel. Net's thesis title is: The Production and Fate of Nitrogen Species in Deep-Sea Hydrothermal Environments

  • Net was known to be a cheerful, generous, helpful, and courteous member of the Joint Program.
    The kindness and generosity shown by Net helped foster a welcoming environment in the JP and at WHOI in general, improving the lives of many JP students and others.
  • Net spent an incredible amount of time helping others, creating a welcoming environment, and building community across JP cohort, postdoc, departmental, and institutional boundaries.
  • Net will be greatly missed as a wonderful mentor and friend for all students in the joint program.
