Lauren Dykman (2023 Recipient)

Lauren received her doctoral degree in Biological Oceanography in February 2023 under the supervision of Dr. Lauren Mullineaux. Her title is: Marine Parasites in Island-Like Disturbed Habitats.

This year’s first recipient of the Pantelyev Award served as a JP Rep, JP Ref, student representative to the WHOI Sustainability Committee and Biology Rep, all while leading multiple student initiatives to improve DEI and events to improve student life including yoga classes, nature walks, and social gatherings. She was a compassionate and dedicated listener to junior students and served as a TA, directly improving the education experience of her peers.
