Thesis Committee Member Travel Reimbursement
The WHOI Academic Programs Office will pay reasonable costs* for one outside member to attend the thesis proposal defense and the thesis defense. It is recommended that students keep in touch with these members between visits using email, telephone, videoconferencing or interacting with them at professional meetings.

If the individual has not received reimbursement from WHOI before, they must also complete an IRS W-9 form (or the W-8BEN for non-US citizens). The voucher, W-9, and receipts can be sent to WHOI Academic Programs Office, Attention: Meredith Bittrich, MS #31, Woods Hole, MA 02543 or electronically to email@example.com.
