The Joint Program will reimburse costs for JP faculty who are traveling between institutions for official JP business. Examples include teaching classes, or attending student committee meetings, thesis defenses, and Joint Committee meetings. Reimbursed costs are usually limited to transportation costs, such as bus fare or mileage.

WHOI faculty traveling to MIT should request approval from WHOI Registrar, who will provide access to the appropriate project number in Unanet.
Travel by faculty from other institutions: The policy for travel by thesis committee members from other institutions is described here.
Parking at WHOI: Requests for temporary WHOI parking passes should be submitted to WHOI's GASAO.
Parking at MIT: Requests for parking passes must be sent to Tricia Nesti (tnesti@mit.edu) at least two business days in advance. Monday trips should be requested on the prior Thursday. The pass will be emailed to you. Permits cannot be issued for overnights or weekends.
